The Good Citizen Award

We are all very proud of Nico!  He was chosen to receive the prestigious Good Citizen Award.  One student at each grade level is selected to receive this award each year.  It's partly for good scholarship, but mainly for being kind and helpful to others.  Which is more important anyway, turns out.

Here's Nico's teacher, who nominated him.  An excellent choice!

Way to go Nico!!

Easter

I know it's not Easter yet, but whatever. Happy Easter! I've got a new way to dye eggs. You boil them, And then before you put them in the dye, crack them all over or in certain spots. When they come out of the dye, it's bold where you cracked it!

(I wanted to post some pictures, but I don't know how. And I need to wait for my parents. They sleep a little late on vacation, and it's only seven.)

Lego City

Hi! This Is Ellie + My first blog ever!    Me and Nico are building a Lego city. Actually, it's more like a country side. Here is some things that we have finished.

Our first thing we built was the moat, and then the crocodiles (the castle was already wooden).

This may look good to you, but not me. I know this is crazy, but I hate pizza. Or as we have to say in my house, "It's not my favorite".

The three little houses.

My favorite piece of all time, but one of my worst fears.

All in all...........................

Top 100 movies - for those of you who care.

Many moons ago, someone on the Hart family favorites blog requested our top 100 movies. We finally got around to it today. If you are in the extended Hart contingency, we've posted our lists on the Favorites Blog and expect to see yours shortly. If you happen to be anyone else, we are also posting our lists here in hopes that you will share your lists with us too. The one rule is that you really do have to keep it to 100. It's harder than you think.

Our lists are posted as a comment so they don't take up our entire page.

Had a big presentation today... it made the news.  [edit: there's a really annoying commercial for the first 30 seconds.  I recommend the mute button.]

I know, it sounds terrible, replacing the iconic wood with plastic.  But it's not plasticky, it's actually pretty woodlike, and it's even 100% recycled.  What it comes down to is there really isn't any other material out there that will work without destroying rainforests.  Believe me, we have tried everything.

The main thing for me was that nobody threw tomatoes at my new tie, which I have now officially designated as a Good Luck Tie.
