two brothers

Last time I saw these guys on the ultrasound, they looked like round globs. Now they're starting to look more like babies. Pretty exciting!

Below is Baby A, a.k.a. Ivan. He's kind of hard to see at first, he's lying on his side looking at the camera. The two circles are his eyes, the top of his head is toward the right.

And Baby B, whose current nom de guerre is Alyosha.

Alex - you know you aren't Russian, right?

Ami- you couldn't have made just one more and given Alex a Dmitri?

Now that I think about it, perhaps that is best.

Aw, they are little cuties already! Make no apologies for the names. I love 'em. I hope they stick. I can't wait to meet the little guys, only I couldn't help thinking of that civil war song dad used to sing to us when I saw the title of the post. "Two brothers on their way, Twoooo brothers on their way. One wore blue and one wore grey..." I'm sure these boys won't share the same fate.

So, is Baby B going to go by Al? Big Al the Ladies' Pal?

So Ivan Alexeevich and Alexei Alexeevich?

Cute! Great names, but the latter may be tricky on the first days of school. What happened to Solomon?

What cute little boys. It's amazing to be able to see them and get an idea of who they are even at this stage. I can't wait to see them in person.

How about Vlad?

Meanwhile, Brad's nephew has three kids and one is named "Van." T'would make a good nickname for "Ivan" and you could tell people you named him after Van Morrison (ha)
