donuts reign supreme

Last week we had the second run of the Donut Bar, with the Rich and Lott families. Our talented chefs cooked up four varieties of donut (chocolate, yeast-raised, buttermilk, and apple cider), and spread out a wide array of toppings. Needless to say, the offerings at Dunkin' just don't compare at all.

Miles went for the Deep Chocolate option. And he actually lived to tell the tale.

All the kids (and adults) had a blast thinking up creative and tasty combinations.

There were some really great ones, but I think my favorite was the apple cider donut with real vanilla frosting, and toasted coconut. Amazing.

Thanks to our great friends for an incredibly delicious evening! And now, I'm off to do a little Wii Fit.

Well, I'm certainly impressed! They look professional! I tried making donuts once and my house smelled of nasty oil for weeks. They looked like little terds too. Not much of a donut fan myself, so doubt I'll try that one again!

Wow!
That looks good.
I don't think I could ever do something like that, and your brownie bake off, or I would weigh 400lbs. I like sweets way to much.
