Gone Fishin'

Okay, so we didn't actually go fishing, but we did see fish.

A few days ago, the kids and I went to Atlantis Marine World. It's a somewhat cheesy looking place from the outside, but it is actually a super-cool place once you get inside. It is very hands on, and the kids love it.

Their favorite thing to do is buy sardines to feed the rays.

I think Nico is showing me the last of the sardines here. I did buy them several more boxes since they were having so much fun. And also because they were both super-nice and kept sharing them with all the other kids, all of their own accord.

Ellie is holding a crab, although it is somewhat difficult to see. She just finished holding the horseshoe crab as well. Nico stuck to holding seashells.

They were both delighted to see a hermit crab. One of Nico's favorite books has been A House for Hermit Crab.

The babies were troopers. Anders was his serious little self for most of the time.

But even he warmed up by the end.

(Disclaimer: I very occasionally dress the babies alike. I just couldn't resist with these cute little outfits. Who doesn't love a vest on a baby!?)

Oh....I certainly do love a vest on a baby! Too cute. Especially when they are hooded vests and the hoods attack the babies! Looks like a grand place. It's similar to the Aquarium in Sandy. Gotta love the stinky sardines! By the way.....why don't you dress the babies alike always?????? What a disgrace!

Fun! We love the local aquarium. It always takes Scout a while to gear up to poke the sea cucumbers, but doesn't hesitate to touch the spiny urchins and the horseshoe crabs. That always is interesting to me. We don't have sardines in Sandy.

The matching outfits are great- I especially love it when they are the same outfit but different colors. Truthfully though- if I was the parent of twins, I think I would only do it on occasion too- way too much planning and care for me.

ps is it cheesy on the outside because they play up the "Atlantis" angle? Please say yes (and give details).

Ellie and Nico are sooo cute and so serious!!!
Anders and Liam look so much alike now that Liam has some chub in his cheeks!! Sooo cute! How I wish we were closer. Grandma M.G.A.

What a group of cuties! I loved seeing Liam's little teeth in the last picture. The kids are brave to pick up sea creatures, especially the part where they have to plunge their hands into cold water.
