They said it would be very windy with some rain, but instead it was very snowy with some wind.
The train home last night took four and a half hours, and I consider myself lucky - they shut down the whole system right after my train left the station, but let us go through to the end, eventually. I had to go to a different station, where my fam generously came to pick me up. Ellie and Nico used the waiting time productively.
The main thing is we still have power! Never take your electricity for granted!

Those two could make a snowman out of lint. Or cotton balls. They are very talented--and determined to make snowmen! We are very thankful that you have been able to stay powered up and warm and safe through all of this. A huge blessing.
Glad you have stayed safe through all these storms!
Aye! What a mess. Glad to see the young ones are helping NY rise from the ashes--with snowmen! Every day when I think of all the folks in Far Rockaway and LI, and wherever else who either still don't have power or have lost it again, I am so sorry for them, and grateful for light and warmth.
Our power was out for two or three hours on Friday night...and all I could think about was how awful it would be to have it out for any longer! I think you guys should just come stay out here for the winter months...the weather is way easier to handle, even when it's cold and snowy. Also you could stay for the summer months as well...while you're at it. I'm glad you are all ok.
