As one of the few eyewitnesses to Alex at a young age, I can tell you that although Ellie has a smile like his and there are shadows of him in Nico, there is a lot of Anderson, too. Alex is built differently, his eyes are different, his nose is different, his hands and feet--I actually think Nico looks a lot like the Andersons--especially Marge. Kids change, too as they get bigger, and sometimes who they favor changes also. Luckily for those two, they have very handsome ancestry on both sides (except for me)!
I often thought the same thing about Ryan. I think I just provided a safe haven for him to grow for 40 weeks and nothing else. At least Alysha looks like me. Although she looks a lot like Josh's younger sister too. Oh, well. At least he can never question his paternity;)
Wow, those pictures do make it appear that Ellie and Nico look just like Alex. However, I firmly believe they have a large portion of Anderson in them. Also, I've always thought you and Alex look pretty similar....

It is funny to look at these pictures. The first time I saw both of your kids I thought they looked just like Alex, especially Nico.

That is funny! But you know, their beings both have a certain unmistakable Anderson-ness about them that you can't deny.
