Okay, so I'm essentially copying my sister, Becki's blog post for the day, but I can't help it. I'm missing the wedding of the century and I feel very sad I'm not there. Alex tried with all his might to convince Becki and I to go, but we didn't. We should have been there.
My brother John and his wife, Hui, celebrated their wedding today in Inner Mongolia. This was Hui's entrance:

Let me clarify that Alex AND I tried to convince you to go with me and you wouldn't. You and Jason were trying to be reasonable in that we were both moving the week after the wedding AND it was in Mongolia.
I commented on Becki's and I'm going to comment on yours...that's the coolest! Moving next week is a very reasonable excuse and I probably would have done the same, but man, that would have been cool. How much is a ticket to Mongolia anyway? Where would the connecting flight be? It's all so exotic!
All I know is, when they come to foreclose on my new house next month, I'm going to flee to Mongolia. Anyone who wants to join me is welcome.
You should have gone! Although I give you props for being so practical-- but I still think you should have gone for that once in a lifetime experience. Emily and I indeed discussed on the phone today what might be involved in getting one's self to Inner Mongolia. We are both curious. Alex, it takes way longer to be foreclosed on then a month, so you are being ridiculous. You will have 3 months at least until you need to worry about fleeing.
But we regret not being able to join you, as I am frightened of giving birth to my baby in a yak hut.

For those who wondered about the travel involved to get to the wedding party (a renewal of vows- and never had a reception before), here's what we understood of the travel involved:
Fly from U.S.to Beijing, take a long train to Inner Mongolia, then a jeep ride of a few hours, then a short camel ride to the lakeside resort.
New knees and young bodies not provided.
Outstanding photos - wish we were there! Love Marge and B.Ray
