Wow. Four?! That's awesome. Owls always remind me of the scary one on The Secret of Nymh.

Jumping is the logical explanation. What else would they be there for? But did you find any pellets?

There used to be a kid in our ward who looked just like that owl. But there was just the one guy, not what you could call a parliament of them.
Totally cool. Scout is Jealous. Not many owls in downtown Queens huh?
....actually they came to eat your kids.
