babies coming!!!

We are excited to announce not one, but apparently two new Harts on the way!

Wow.

We are still in shock. We had expected one, but two?? It's going to be great. And very challenging, I'm sure. Any advice from applicable Jacksons will be more than welcome. Also, if you see a good deal on a minivan... you know who to call.

Ami's still in the first trimester, and we are learning that with twins, there is a higher than usual chance that one of the two will miscarry. So we will keep you posted if anything changes. But for now we are planning on a 50% increase in our family size, on or before September 24.

ps. Extra points to those of you who guessed this based on Ami's state of mind in the last post...

Congratulations!!!!!! Wow, that is a shocker! How fun/terrifying.

By the way, I already took a bow for myself. As a champion of pregnancy brain, I spotted the symptoms right away. I don't get took sick or irritable or tired, but man I get stupid!

WOW!!! So exciting! Congrats, guys! I didn't get the clue from the last post (I do that sort of thing all the time and I'm not pregnant!)but after reading this one, I looked back and said, "Oohhhh...I see". So awesome! Miss you guys!

So, did you tell the kids yet? What did they say? I'm particularly curious about Nico's reaction. :)

Thanks!

We did tell the kids. Ellie was bouncing off the walls, but Nico just sort of sat there expressionless the whole time and when we asked him what he thought about it all he would say is, "Good." It was all very Nico.

We also explained to them that sometimes things happen in pregnancy and the babies don't always make it. Then they got all concerned because I was sick last week. Nico seemed the most concerned. It was very cute.

Congratulations. May your tax return also double. Sept is a great month for birthdays.

Congrats! May I recommend a minivan with automatic doors, much easier to open when carrying two car seats. :) We are so happy for you!

Hey...my name is Lindsay Jones too, and I echo her thought on a minivan with automatic doors. It has changed my life.

Anyway, congrats, congrats, congrats!! That is so exciting!! Twins, how in the world does that happen (besides the obvious, of course)? I can't wait to hear how you manage life with a set. I'm so happy for you.

Well - you guys are closer to John and Alyson's situation with the two older kids - I'm sure Ellie will be a big help. And you are going to need it. I'd give you some advice but there seems to be a big hole in my memory for about 8 months after our twins were born. Then about another 6 months of memories I could probably recall, but I hate to ruin all the work I went to of blocking them out.

If you can just make it through the first 5 or so years then things are great.

Valerie Clark said her Korean rellys say this is a very lucky year to be born: the year of the white tiger, which only comes around once every sixty years. Do you think studying Chinese has brought around some good luck? We of the year of the rabbit would be mighty glad to be of the year of the white tiger.

Wow-eee! This is exciting. I am impressed Emily guessed it. She's a winner. Also, I was just thinking to myself this very day that I know so many people having or have recently had twins. It seems so crazy to me. From what I can tell, it's double the work, but also double the fun...and I'm guessing double the amount of sleep-deprivation :) Just kidding. I am very excited for you guys!

Congrats! So exciting. I have two sisters with twins and they can certainly be a handful but they are also twice the fun! I hope it all goes well and that we get to meet ALL of your children soon!

Twins, huh? Wow! That is incredible. Congrats! Super excited for you guys. If you have any questions--ask Lindsay. She is a pro on twins. . . and welcome to the van club.
